Summary

Make a fabric Yo-Yo necklace.

Description

Similar to quilting, scraps of fabric are used to create something beautiful. The yo-yo is made from a circular piece of fabric that has a simple running stitch around the edge. When the threads are pulled, a yo-yo is created.

Your yo-yo necklace will be made from beautiful batik fabrics which reflect Southeast Asian culture, beads and wire. A decorative bead is used as an accent on one of the yo-yos. When the yo-yo components are attached to a black cord for wearing, they are free to bend and twirl around to show both sides of the fabric. The necklace becomes a kinetic piece of art!

All supplies are provided. All you need to bring is your love of crafting and sense of artistic beauty!
